A Little About Us
Most of our work comes from Peoria homeowners who called once and kept the number. That is the whole business model, and it shapes how we treat a first visit.
Some vents can't be saved by cleaning, and we say so on the spot. If the flexible foil transition behind your dryer has collapsed, or a run of thin corrugated hose in the attic has sagged so far between truss bays that lint has packed the low spot solid, brushing it only buys a few months. Crushed duct doesn't round back out. A roof cap that's been nested in and rebuilt by sparrows three years running needs a new cap with a proper damper, not another pass with a brush. We tell people that before we invoice them, and we'd rather point you toward repair or a replacement run than take money for work that won't hold. Same goes the other direction. If we open it up and the line is clean, we tell you it's clean and you don't need us yet.
Peoria laundry sits in one of three places, and the location decides almost everything. Garage-wall laundry gets the short favorable run, a few feet straight out to a stucco wall cap, and those are usually quick. Interior hall closets and laundry rooms off the garage entry are the hard ones. Valley of the Sun housing is slab-on-grade single-story and two-story stucco over wood frame with no basements, so there's no basement laundry and no short rim-joist vent to work with. Centrally placed laundry rooms mean long horizontal duct through the attic, terminating at a roof jack through concrete tile or a gable or soffit vent. Flexible foil and thin corrugated transition hose is everywhere in 1980s through 2000s tract construction, and it sags. The climate works against you in a way people don't expect: dry desert air dries clothes fast, but attic temperatures of 150 to 170°F in summer mean your dryer is pushing hot air into an already-superheated duct. Cycles lengthen and lint bakes hard instead of staying damp. Add monsoon dust and fine blowing silt coming in past dampers and roof caps, and you get a dense crust that a shop vac at the wall will not touch.
Crew shows up with a rotary brush on a sectional vent line, a vacuum sized for the duct, and a meter to read airflow at the hood before we start and again when we're done. That before-and-after number is the honest measure of whether we did anything. We pull the dryer out, disconnect the transition, run the brush the full length, and capture the debris instead of blowing it into your attic or your laundry room. We work behind gas and electric units, stacked and full-size, and we handle the roof caps and wall caps, including the nesting we find in them year-round. If the airflow still reads low after a full clean, that's a duct problem, not a lint problem, and we'll show you where. Cost on a cleaning here tracks the run: a garage wall cap is straightforward, while a long attic run to a roof jack through concrete tile means roof access, more line, and more time. A vent packed with baked-on lint and silt takes more passes than one with a season of buildup. If you're not sure what you've got, an inspection is the cheaper way to find out.
Our service area
We cover Peoria and the surrounding towns. If you're in one of these areas and have a dryer vent cleaning problem, call us. We usually get out the same day.
How we decide what a Peoria dryer vent actually needs
"Does this vent just need cleaning, or does the whole run need replacing?" We hear that on the phone and we won't answer it blind. Valley homes are slab-on-grade with no basement, so there is no short rim-joist vent to check from below. The duct is either a few feet through a garage wall or a long haul across the attic. Those are two different decisions.
We check airflow at the termination before and after. If it stays weak after a clean, lint was never the real problem. Usually it's sag. Flexible foil strung between truss bays in 1980s–2000s tract construction drops into low spots and holds everything. In a 150–170°F summer attic that lint bakes hard instead of staying damp. Cleaning buys months. Supported rigid metal in the sagging sections ends it.
Then the cap. House sparrows and finches nest in roof jacks and wall caps here year-round. A damper propped open by nest material lets monsoon silt in, and silt plus lint forms a crust brushing alone won't move.
Plain limit: short straight run to an exterior garage wall almost always means cleaning, not a rebuild. On attic jobs, roof access over concrete tile drives the work more than duct length does.
